Still Lifes/Light Painting

This is a series of studio shots of flowers, old tools, hand-made artist brushes, and frosted bottles.  Instead of traditional studio lighting, I used a technique called Light-painting.  This approach involves hand-holding small diffused flashlights and "brush-stroking" the setup, placing highlights where desired, and creating shadows where I want them.  I shoot multiple frames and then blend them in PhotoShop to achieve the desired look.  I hope you like the interplay of colors, highlights and shadows that bring these still life compositions to life.
